Another exciting school year is over. This year was filled with interesting topics, having fun with classmates and moving forward on our journey of school life. But one thing made this year extraordinary -----Jack. Jack Howard is a native speaker from Iowa, United States, who accompanied us through this year’s English lessons.

Jack
He taught us many things about America compared to Austria. We discussed topics like American culture, religion, movies, music and much more. We really enjoyed the time together, and it was a formative experience for all of us.
One thing we talked about was for instance Thanksgiving in America and we spoke about the traditional food. He told us that he lived a vegetarian lifestyle and after class our English teacher Mrs. Hermann came up with a marvellous idea. “Let’s create a cookery book with some traditional vegetarian Austrian recipes!” she said. We were thrilled and no sooner said than done Anna-Lena Guem and Helena Schennach designed this little present for Jack.
We, the second classes of HLW/HAK Reutte, are very thankful that we got the chance to get to know this amazing young man. Jack, it was a pleasure meeting you and we hope you’ll never forget us.
